Move up is almost here for your children. It is our hope that this letter will answer any and all of your questions. First and foremost let us say a huge thank you for choosing to share your children with us this year. We are very proud of their successes and we share with great joy this celebration of faith, friendship and future achievements. Congratulations to you, as you are their first teacher.
Move up will take place on Thursday, June 8th at two different times. We ask that you come with your family members quietly to the gym, located in the upper building and enter through the doors in the parking lot. Please respect that this will be a prayer service and the children have been taught how to act in faith and fellowship throughout the year, so we want their moving forward to reflect that. In order for that to happen, they have to see everyone model the same behaviors they are reflecting. The children from the PreK classes will move up at 9:30 a.m. All children should be dressed in their Sunday best, no gym clothing that day. Children should arrive at the Lawrence Street door by 9 a.m for the teachers to do a final walk through. Please remember that all tuition must be paid in full prior to the actual move up ceremony in order for the children to participate. No checks will be accepted on the day of the ceremony in the office. If you need to bring your child earlier because of siblings, all teachers will be here at the normal time but there will be no breakfast for the children that day. Because it is a prayer service, there is no place for balloons or loud screams or prolonged clapping when the children perform. Please save all the excitement for your own private celebrations. Siblings will be permitted to come to the auditorium and will be released from the classroom in time for the ceremony. The children will be dismissed from the ceremony to your care for the summer. Pictures may be taken but please do not block another parent from seeing their child as well. We ask that whomever you bring, be aware of the same. We are treating this as a beautiful memory with the children to share with their family and friends. The children do not return until Tuesday, September 5,, 2017. Tuition begins during the week of July 20,, 2017. Please begin on time so you are not assessed late fees. All children will receive more information about when to report and the times throughout the summer from their new teachers . Attire will be the St. Helena- Incarnation gym suit and sneakers for the fall. Take advantage of the summer sales to stock up on crayons, glues, pencils and school bags and lunch bags and label everything as you buy it for the upcoming year for the children. Remember to do the summer packet a little each day to keep their skills on target during the summer.

Finally, we as teachers, want to thank you for your cooperation and tireless effort to get your children to school on time, feed them healthy foods and most of all, working as a team between home and school. Without your support, this year would not have been as fulfilling as it has been. It is with sadness we say goodbye to our little ones, but they will remain in our hearts, as will you, forever. Be safe during the summer and fill your days with reading and prayer and making great memories.
